Dear participants,
This questionnaire aims to collect information about individuals who since the beginning of the energy crisis in 2021-2022 in Hungary have had personal experience in indoor spaces outside of the home of being:
- cold during the heating season and/or
- uncomfortably warm in summer.
This refers to indoor spaces where one stays:
- for longer periods of time to fulfill essential roles (for work or study purposes - for example at the university, school, workplace, and others) and/or
- for a shorter period of time (leisure or for receiving services - such as but not limited to gym, religious objects, hospitals, restaurants, hair salons, shopping malls, cinemas, libraries, museums, hotels, language schools, bookstores, shops, etc.) and/or
- while using public transportation (for example bus, train, etc.).
The energy crisis in 2021-2022 affected Europe, but Hungary was especially vulnerable because the utility discount program (rezsicsökkentés) was reduced. The high energy prices affected the public and private sectors alike. The purpose of this survey is to explore the extent and the type of public and private sectors affected, leaving under-heated or under-cooled indoor places, from the point of view of individual personal experiences of those spending time in such public or private spaces outside of the home. Your contribution will immensely help us understand the prevalence and impacts of inadequate indoor temperature outside of the home since the start of the energy crisis in 2021-2022 in Hungary.
Filling out the questionnaire takes about 15 minutes.
